Insurance & Fees

Cost shouldn't be the reason you don't start.

We take four of the most common plans in Michigan and we verify your benefits before your first session, so there are no surprises. If you'd rather not use insurance, private pay is straightforward. Either way, you'll know what a session costs before you book one.

Plans we accept

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBS)

PPO and most BCBSM plans. Coverage for telehealth and in-person sessions.

Blue Care Network (BCN)

Michigan's Blue Cross HMO. Some BCN plans need a referral from your primary care provider before therapy is covered — tell us your plan and we'll check.

Aetna

Most Aetna commercial plans.

Priority Health

Most Priority Health commercial plans, including telehealth.

Coverage can depend on which clinician you see, because plans credential clinicians individually. When we match you with a therapist, we match you with one your plan covers.

We don't currently accept Medicare or Medicaid.

Private pay

Simple, no paperwork, no diagnosis on file with an insurer.

One flat session rate, the same for every clinician. You'll know the exact amount before you book.

Out-of-network benefits

If your plan has out-of-network benefits, we can provide a monthly superbill for you to submit for partial reimbursement.

What you'll actually pay with insurance

Copay

A flat amount per session set by your plan, often between $0 and $50. You pay it; we bill the rest.

Deductible

If your plan has a deductible you haven't met yet, you may pay the full contracted session rate until you meet it. We'll tell you the rate and where you stand before you start.

Coinsurance

A percentage of the session rate rather than a flat copay. Same rule: we check first.

Telehealth and insurance

The plans we accept cover telehealth sessions with a Michigan-licensed clinician when you're physically in Michigan at the time of the session. That's the same coverage as an in-person visit for most plans.

How to check your coverage

Tell us your plan when you reach out, by text or through the form. We'll verify your benefits and tell you your expected cost per session before your first appointment. No phone call needed.

Cancellations

We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and missed sessions may be charged, and insurance doesn't cover that charge.
